Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi

Duration: 3 nights/ 4 days

Itinerary

Day1: Arrival and sightseeing at Delhi

Arrival at Delhi (morning), pick up at the airport and check in at the hotel.

Proceed for half day sightseeing at Delhi. Visit India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Gandhi Smriti, and Qutub Minar, the tallest tower in Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi to Agra

After an early breakfast, leave for Agra which is 205 kms from Delhi and about a four hour drive.

Reach Agra and check in at the Hotel. Post lunch you will be taken to visit the famous monument of love-Taj Mahal. This most famous Mughal monument was constructed by Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Enjoy a Tonga ride at the Taj Mahal. Tonga is a horse drawn carriage popular in the olden times as a chosen mode of transport.

Taj Mahal is not open to visitors on Fridays.
After Taj Mahal, visit the Agra Fort which lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of town. It was built by Emperor Akbar as his citadel over the years 1563-73 in the finest architectural style. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3: Agra- Jaipur

The drive from Agra to Jaipur takes about 4 hours as the distance is 238 kms.

After breakfast visit Fatehpur Sikri enroute to Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur check in at the Hotel and rest for a while.

Later visit City Palace in the heart of the old city which is the former royal residence that houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and an armoury of the Mughals and the Rajputs.  Near the City Palace,  visit Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, also visit the landmark of the “Pink City” Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds, built to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch the processions passing in the street without being seen.
Spend the evening at Chokhi Dhani, an authentic village complex on the outskirts of Jaipur.
Return to the hotel after dinner & overnight stay.

Day 4: Jaipur- Delhi

This morning visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple built in Marble on Moti Doongri hilltop.
Also visit Albert Hall Museum containing a rare collection of decorative art objects, paintings, sculptures and the well known Persian Golden Carpet.

Later visit the famous Amber Fort and Palace en route to Delhi.
The fort is a striking example of Rajput architecture situated on a hill side and overlooking a lake.

Reach Delhi by evening and drop off at the airport for your onward journey.
