Itinerary
Day 1: Kochi – Thekkady
Arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station where our representative will meet and greet you. From airport/ railway station drive on to Thekkady.
Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 2: Thekkady
After breakfast visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - a Tiger Reservoir, one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lakes edge. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3: Thekkady - Alleppey (A/c Houseboat)
After breakfast checkout from Thekkady and drive to Alleppey. Often called Venice of the East, Alappuzha is famous for its boat races, houseboat holidays. Check into Houseboat at 12 noon. Enjoy soothing and relaxing cruise along the village backwaters. Alleppey offers relaxing boat cruises along the small canals giving you the advantage of getting a closer look at the village life. Lunch and dinner on board Houseboat. Overnight stay at Houseboat.
Day 4: Alleppey – Kochi
After breakfast check out from Houseboat and drive to Kochi. Visit Jewish Synagogue – (Constructed in 1568, this is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. Destroyed in a shelling, during the Portuguese raid in 1662, it was rebuilt two years later by the Dutch) Fort Kochi beach Chinese fishing net (Lined along the sea front, these fishing nets exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish, introduced by Chinese traders from the court of Kublai Khan. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Kochi – Departure
After breakfast drop to Kochi Airport for onward flight.
